Netflix is the most popular streaming service ever. Its worldwide streaming base is up to about 167 million and its subscribers watch for an average of 2 hours a day. Yet, it can’t be denied that when we finish a great show or movie, it can be hard to decide what to watch next. So here are some choices that won't miss.
The Mitchell's Vs. The Machines is an animated family movie about a relatable, dysfunctional family that tries to survive and save the world from the AI Apocalypse. The whole family can enjoy this one due to its intelligent humor and actually unpredictable plotline. I see this being the best animated feature this year. It is so far at least.
The Trial of the Chicago 7 was written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Frank Langella, Jeremy Strong, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen. As the title suggests, it is about the 1969 trial of 7 Chicago activists accused of inciting riots in protest against the Vietnam War. All of the 7 have distinct personalities, but all are fighting towards the same goal. Aaron Sorkin is of course known for writing movies like The Social Network, A Few Good Men, Moneyball, and all seasons of The West Wing. However, in this movie, he finds himself directing and did an amazing job. Its also interesting to see Sacha Baron Cohen do real acting and he was actual really good. I definitely suggest checking this one out.
White Tiger is about a young indian man's life from childhood to manhood. He grows up very poor but has big dreams and when he gets a job as a servant for a very important and wealthy family, his life changes forever. This film was one of my favorite films of his past year. The film is told in a very interesting way: it has the generic chronological story telling, but we also have intercut scenes and narration from a future self of our protaganist who is very, very different and we don't yet know why. gained a ton of knowledge about the poor areas of India, how these people live physically, and how their religion affects how they live in different ways such as: the patriarchy, simply how they greet each other, their rigid social class, and more. In addition to it being very educational, this movie was very entertaining because of the dialogue, great acting and characters, and some SUPER thrilling scenes. Go check it out on Netflix.
Da 5 Bloods, Spike Lee's (He Got Game, Blackkklansman) latest film starring Chadwick Boseman, Delroy Lindo, Clark Peters, Paul Walter Houser and more, is one of his best. It is action packed, funny, and of course holds many important messages as all of Lee's films do. The story is about 5 Vietnam vets, who return back to Vietnam to find missing gold and the remains of their leader and I think the film earns its run time and is definitely Binge-worthy although a few minutes could have been cut.
RIP CHADWICK BOSEMAN!!!
The Disaster Artist is a personal favorite of mine because of its unique, insane, and mysterious story about Tommy Wiseau and his creation of one of possibly the worst movie of all time as well as an incredible, against type performance from James Franco. I am so happy this was recently added to Netflix, it is a must binge.
One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest is directed by Milos Forman and stars Jack Nicholson, Danny Devito, and Louis Fletcher. The film is based on the 1962 novel by the same name. Randle (Nicholson) is admitted into an insane asylum to avoid jail time and here he is tortured mentally by the ruthlessly evil Nurse Ratched (Fletcher), but here he also begins to love those who he is in the asylum with. I won't say anything else about the plot but this is one of the greatest films of all time and one of the first times that Nicholson showed us why he would become known as possibly the greatest actor of all time. This may just be his best performance.
Rush is about two rivaling professional formula one drivers and their respective teams. It is a racing movie but you don't need to know anything about cars to enjoy it. It is one of the best racecar films in recent memories only in conversation with Ford Vs. Ferrari.
Lady Bird is one of my favorite coming of age films of all time due to its great performances and relatable story down to its relationships. Especially the pivotal mother-daughter relationship in the film. The actors in the film are so invested in their respective characters that you forget that they are acting. Lady Bird is truly an important film to see. It was just recently released on Netflix.
Bong Joon Ho, Oscar-winning director of Parasite as mentioned previously, also directed Snowpiercer. The film is about earth’s last remaining inhabitants who are all on one train that circulates the earth. The poor are in the back of the train under horrific conditions and plan a revolt on the wealthy inhabitants in the front. The film stars an allstar cast of Chris Evans (Captain America),John Hurt, Octavia Spencer, Tillda Swinton, and Ed Harris. Snowpiercer displays very important messages relating to history and that are still relevant today while also being a great film in itself.
By no means is this Adam Sandler film a great film.. or even a good film. But if you like Adam Sandler's humor and want to see him as a super spy turned barber, this film is a great time and is also super rewatchable. I belly laughed throughout and I bet you will too.
When Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell team up, it always works. And this may be their best and funniest film together. This cop action-comedy will have you belly laughing the entire time if this is your kind of humor.

Lupin is a french heist show starring Omar Sy from the Intouchables. He is the coolest character on Netflix right now and this show is definitely wroth a watch. The hype is warranted.
Breaking Bad is definitely the best show on Netflix and my favorite show of all time. It is thrilling throughout and once you get in to it, you won’t be able to put it down. Its ending is perfect and it even has an epilogue movie called El Camino which is also on Netflix
Ozark stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney and is about a family who relocates to the Missouri Ozarks from their home in Chicago when a money-laundering deal goes wrong. In the Ozarks things get much more complicated as they face more and more obstacles and creates for a captivating Netflix original show.
This one has to be the most underrated of the shows on this list as well as the The Punisher which I will talk about next. You could compare Daredevil’s character to Batman as they both are vigilantes who fight for crime for the well-being of their city. Due to its surprisingly emotional plot, awesome action, and a great villain it is worth a watch.
The character of The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal, is introduced first in Season 2 of Daredevil. But then as he became super popular his own individual show was introduced on Netflix and did not disappoint.
Money Heist is quickly gaining popularity as of late and I think it is definitely worth a watch. Although it takes inspiration from other crime shows or movies, it is effective in its own right and will have you hooked quick with its entertaining plot and great writing.
Outer Banks takes obvious inspiration from other Netflix shows such as Ozark in its setting and The OC in its plot of haves and have nots as well as movies like The Goonies. It falls victim to a ton of clichés, plot-holes, cheesy dialogue, and absurdly convenient occurrences in key moments that are often noticeable. However, it is still just original enough to be its own show and its undeniable entertainment value, solid performances, and summer vibe, make all of those previously mentioned negatives not even matter by the end of the pilot episode. You truly love its protagonists and hate the characters you are supposed to hate with a passion. Outer Banks' first season is super popular right now and you will probably have to be pulled from the TV screen to not watch the whole season in one day.
